  • Overview

    The aim

To show managers the importance of organising their teams.

    About the programme

This programme, which continues the story from Parts 1 and 2 of the series, but which can also be used as a stand-alone resource, shows how effective managers should take time to focus on their teams.

The now organised manager is called to St Peter, this time following an annual health check. Here he learns that his management style still leaves a lot to be desired, since he is failing to organise his team. Through highly memorable, wrong-way, right-way scenarios, learners will learn three steps to successful delegation.

It is the manager's role to ensure that each team member’s objectives are defined and identified so that they know what is expected of them. Individuals should be set measurable standards to achieve so that both they and the manager know how they are doing. And managers must agree targets with individual team members in order to help them develop and realise their potential, or to bring their performance back on track.

Targeted at less experienced managers and team leaders, this programme offers a memorable, engaging and amusing look at a widely applicable leadership skill and can be used with or without the preceding two parts in the series.
