  • As far as other people are concerned, you are your behaviour (however, as far as you are concerned, you are your thoughts and feelings)
  • People’s effectiveness boils down to one thing; what they say and do (i.e. their behaviour)
  • Behaviour breeds behaviour (in other words, your behaviour is a major factor in shaping other people’s behaviour; you therefore get the behaviour you deserve)
  • Behaviour is made, not born. People can change their behaviour, it is a choice, not a reflex

The speaker
Peter Honey is a chartered psychologist and founder of Peter Honey Publications. He is a Fellow of the RSA and the CIPD; a founder member of the distinguished group that produced ‘A Declaration on Learning’ and a Patron of the ‘Campaign for Learning’. Peter is famous for his work on learning styles and behaviour and has written over 20 books.
